Thanksgiving Patterns?

Melissa from Elemental Stitches has posted a few Thanksgiving Patterns to stitch!! She took the time and searched around for the patterns. But the thing is...I may stitch a couple, but with the wedding coming up I don't have time!!

So in honor of ~LL~ from "For me and my house!" I will begin checking out Christmas patterns! ~LL~ keeps us informed of how many days until Christmas as she is "into" Christmas!!!

So if you have a cute Christmas pattern to share....!!!!!

PS I told Robert that with the wedding and all, we are going to McDonald's for Thanksgiving! This is what I am telling everyone!!

I finished all ten of the "Pretty Maids" patterns that I have. There is one more set, but I will buy that later. Pictured above is the Maid from Spain! Maybe I will start working on Christmas stuff!! But...I think it has to get a little bit cooler to get in the mood!!

AIDS Walk L.A.

Last Sunday morning a large group of our High School Students and Leaders from church walked in the L.A. Aids Walk. They raised as a group $1400 to help with this cause. They walked as the group "Jesus Freaks" and were asked if they were there to protest, no! because we love you! This walk was the idea of one of the students and with his idea a lot of lives were blessed!

Robert and my son Evan walked in honor of Robert's brother David who lost his life to AIDS a few years ago! Here are some pictures that a student took while there!!

During the Summer our H.S. students were challenged to do the "Hard things!" A lot of Christian groups would protest an event like this and there were protesters at the walk. But our students were taking a stand, walking for the hope of a cure. They are also reading a book in their Small Groups on the same topic. They are getting out of the Christian Bubble so many are in and getting out in the community and making a difference. They are loving and sharing with people who are different from them. They are getting out into the world and sharing the Lord!!

It was thrilling to see these students and leaders give their time and legs for ones that are suffering!

Pretty Maids by Allsorts

Besides working my tail off finishing the wedding stitchery for Jill's Bridal Shower, I have been also working on Jenny B Harris/Allsorts "Pretty Maids!" I am working on #8 and have two more patterns traced. Then she has one more set of "Pretty Maids!" I have an idea for these but that is for much further down the road!!

Having a Word

Avoca, Ireland/Ballykissangel

Last night Robert and I went to Super Mex for dinner and ate on the patio. Robert observed this couple about our age eating inside and not talking at all to each other. Then we kept watching. At one point Robert said we should try that next week and see how long we last! NOT!

Today, Robert sent me a Hallmark E-Card and it was a guy and girl traveling in a car together. It was so cute!! I sent him an e-mail telling him that the girl was driving and that we were both talking!!! Robert's reply was,

"Maybe we were in Ireland and I was driving and we were having a word?"

You see while I was watching the Irish show "Ballykissangel" I was telling Robert some of the different ways they say phrases over in Ireland and it looks like he was really listening!!! I told him I was ready to go!!

Wedding Stitchery for Jill's Shower!

Here is the special embroidery I had been working on for hours for Jillian's Bridal Shower this evening!! It was fun stitching this with all the colors for Jill!!!

I can now say Jillian is getting married '"next" month! It will be here before I know it!!

It's a Busy Day

Wow!! I am so glad we aren't inviting 4000 guests!! It would bankrupt us!!heehee!

Rodney and Jill flew in today and I picked them up around 7 this morning. They are at Pre-Marital counseling with Mark right now. Then we will head out to Fabric Barn, cake place, flower place and whatever else is on the list!! It will be a busy day. I have a pork loin in the crock pot for taco's so dinner is cooking while we're busy!!
