College Bound Kaitlin

Since I said I was going to slow down here on my blog, I feel the pressure is off to have to post. Plus Robert asked what he was going to read? So... Oh, he really likes my niece Emily's new blog!! He likes lots of pictures!

So the news today is that I helped Kaitlin get her classes for college! She is on the waiting list for one and will have to petition that one on the first day! If she can't get that one she will have find another class to meet 12 Units for this semester!

So this is one thing we don't have to think about while she travels to PA next week! She is taking the Milk Run, my dad would have said, stopping twice each way. But...her ticket was free with Robert's frequent flier miles!!

As for Jillian and the wedding, more things getting decided each week! It is getting close!!

I forgot to say that Evan celebrated his 23rd Birthday on the 4th!! We along with his grandparents got him an IPhone!! It is on back order so he is bummed!

Ryan and Alicia are great and Cayden is a cutie!! We went for a long walk yesterday while his mommy and daddy went with Popi to Costco!!

I have decided to take a break from my blog here. You can catch me on Facebook or follow me on Twitter! With Summer and then helping to plan Jill's wedding I am finding that I am being less motivated to Blog.

I will still come and check out your posts and I have to keep up with my stitchery peeps! I might post a WIP from time to time!!

I am playing Farm Town on Facebook with a lot of my friends so if you want to play and be a neighbor, we can talk quite a bit!! Alicia and Melissa just became my neighbors!! It's something fun for the Summer!

Most of my friends here are on Facebook so that is a good thing. If you are not, come on over and "drink the kool aid" as my son told Alicia she was doing when she joined!

On Sunday morning, Robert, Evan and I along with Paul and Ginnie are headed to Mosaic. Mosaic is the church where Erwin McManus is the Pastor. He has several locations but we are goint to see him speak in Pasadena! Erwin is the author of several books which include "An Unstoppable Force!"

Jillian is 21

Yesterday was Silly Jilly's 21st. Birthday. I didn't post yesterday because Robert, Evan, Kaitlin and I woke up and left early to drive up and surprise her. We drove 3 hours and when we got there we knocked....she opened and we said "Surprise!!!" She closed the door then reopened it and was crying! She hugged us all and thanked us for coming!!!

She was so excited! It was a last minute idea that I posed to Robert and then arranged it with Rodney...she was truly surprised!

I took my laptop so I let her harvest all my crops!! Then we went to the Olive Garden for lunch. It was her choice, anywhere she wanted to go!! We came back to their 2 bedroom apt. they just moved to and went swimming in the complex's great pool. At about 105 degrees it was so refreshing!

Then we had this cookies and cream dessert pie that Jill and Robert went out to get. So good!

Then after getting gas and cold drinks we headed home. It was a great day and a great celebration for Jillian!! Oh, and at the Olive Garden she got a Mango-ish Margarita!! It was good, I had a sip!

She told us about her new job. As soon as she gets hired, Robert and I will have 24 one way tickets per year!! Wow!! That is so fun!! Where should we go first?? Has to be cheap, we're having a wedding soon!!

Three Years!

Three years already! It just seems like yesterday we were getting ready. The Lord has blessed your marriage and will continue to bless it as you both look to him for your strength!

Happy Father's Day to my Dear Robert!

This is a picture of Robert with Kaitlin while they were serving together, side by side at the Apache Reservation in Arizona! They had a great week together this past April! Kaitlin loves to play games with her dad!

Evan and Robert usually talk and talk about Sports. They play on Fantasy Baseball and Football together and talk all about it everywhere we go! Evan takes after his dad and serves many hours at church! Evan and Robert usually do the shopping for me and do a great job together!

Ryan and Robert play softball together. Ryan and Evan both play, but after sitting and watching dad play for years, Ryan was the one who reached 18 first! At 18 you get to play in the City league. Now, Ryan shares the title of dad with his dad!

Jill has been gone almost a year, but through texting and calling and coming to visit, she and dad have their sweet times. Robert will soon be walking his daughter down the aisle to give her away. This will be a special time for Jill and dad!

AND.......

This year, my oldest Ryan became a dad!! What is awesome is that He became a dad on My dad's birthday....Ryan has his Papa Gene's name tattooed on his arm with a cross. How special then to have Cayden born on Papa's birthday!!

Ryan is a great dad and it bursts my heart ♥ to see him with Cayden!

I am so blessed with wonderful children who have such a caring and compassionate Father. One who is generous and is always around to "help out" with something! He loves his children and this is very evident in his life. He has taught Godly principles to his children and I bet, any one of them can tell you what the definition of Love is, learned from their dad!! ♥

Please Pray for Jill!!

Last night Jill received an e-mail from American Eagle. She thought it was spam from the clothing store and almost deleted it. BUT...it was a an e-mail from the hiring dude at American Eagle Airlines. She has an interview this coming Wednesday the 24th, at 2 P.M. PST. He wants to hear more about her. The interview is at the airport in Fresno which is very close by. Please mark on your calendar this date and time and lift Jill up in prayer!

She has been working at Starbucks and this extended stay hotel which she works alone late hours. So this would be a blessing.

You know the show AIRLINE? That would be the job she is interviewing for and she has great customer service skills!! She learned a lot of the CS from her job at Disneyland and they are almost #1 at CS!! (We all know Target isn't....my favorite store and the worst CS)

Thanks everyone!! I am so excited for her as this is the job I would love to have!!

Farmtown USA

This is a farm on Facebook's Farmtown! It's not mine, just a sample. I didn't accept requests to play the farm, but then I thought, "It's Summertime!" So ~LL~ taught me how! This is so fun! Whoever created this game is a whiz! Kaitlin, Jill and I can play together even though Jill is 4 hours away. I am friends with Margie, LeAnn, ~LL~ and they are in other states. Sabrina is up North past Jill!! Then there are my church friends I visit on their farms. I think it's a fun way to interact with people. It's not a face to face conversation, but does that have to be the case all the time to enjoy their friendships?

Oh, come on now!!! I know you are curious now!! Come join, even if it's for the Summer!! Pretty soon us gals will all be at It's A Grind farming on our Laptops!! Wouldn't that be a site to see!!
